FaceType is a face-analysis application that uses your device’s camera to analyze facial proportions and estimate your primary face shape. The app then provides general hairstyle and glasses recommendations based on the detected face shape.

FaceType is published under the name FaceType.

2. Information We Collect

FaceType does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the app.

FaceType does not operate its own servers and does not use Firebase, advertising services, analytics services, or cloud storage.

When you use the face-scanning feature, the app accesses your device’s camera to perform the requested analysis.

FaceType does not collect or upload your camera images to us.

3. Camera and Face Analysis

FaceType requires camera access because the main function of the application is to analyze your face.

When you perform a scan, the camera image is processed on your device to estimate facial proportions and determine a primary face shape.

The analysis may use facial landmarks and measurements to perform this calculation.

Your camera images are not uploaded to FaceType servers or sent to a remote service for analysis.

FaceType does not use facial analysis to identify you as a specific person.

After the analysis is completed, the captured image is not retained by FaceType.

4. How We Use Information

The information processed during a scan is used solely to provide the FaceType experience, including:

• Analyzing facial proportions
• Estimating your face shape
• Displaying your face-shape result
• Providing general hairstyle recommendations
• Providing general glasses recommendations

5. Data Storage

FaceType does not maintain an account system or cloud database for users.

FaceType does not upload or remotely store your face images.

FaceType does not retain your facial-analysis information after the analysis.

Because FaceType does not maintain user accounts or remotely stored user data, there is no FaceType account or cloud profile containing your personal information to delete.

6. Data Sharing

FaceType does not sell, rent, or share your face images or facial-analysis information with third parties.

Face images used during scanning remain on your device for the purpose of performing the analysis and are not transmitted to FaceType or third-party servers.

FaceType does not display third-party advertising.

7. Third-Party Services

FaceType does not currently use third-party services for analytics, advertising, cloud storage, user accounts, or remote face analysis.

The face analysis is performed on the device using the face-analysis technology integrated into the application.

If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe any relevant third-party services and their use of information.

8. Data Security

Because FaceType does not transmit or remotely store your face images, there is no FaceType server containing your camera images or facial-analysis results.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device and operating-system permissions.

9. Children’s Privacy

FaceType is intended for users aged 13 and older.

FaceType does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Because FaceType does not require an account and does not collect or remotely store face images, it does not maintain a database of children’s personal information.

10. Your Choices

FaceType requires camera permission to perform its primary face-analysis feature.

You can grant or revoke camera permission through your device’s operating-system settings.

If you do not grant camera permission, FaceType’s face-scanning and analysis functionality will not be available.

Because FaceType does not maintain user accounts or remotely store personal data, there is no account or cloud data that you need to request us to delete.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was most recently revised.

If we make significant changes to how FaceType handles information, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
